I have painted a range of home images including town and country locations mainly in A5 and A4 sizes.
A Little About Me.
How it all began...
After a career in banking, I took the opportunity to develop my passion in drawing and watercolours to become a freelance artist using my maiden name of Margaret Stevens.
Initially I undertook commissions for illustrated names for certain retailers. This helped me to create and expand a portfolio of nursery characters, which I licensed companies to use on ranges of wall coverings, soft furnishings for nurseries, clothing, greetings cards and giftware.
Currently, I am enjoying drawing and painting homes and buildings. I have developed a range of greetings cards, prints and tea towels depicting properties in the village of Great Bardfield - these are retailed from Bardfield Country Interiors. I am now receiving commissions for houses and buildings that have special meaning for my clients.
My earlier designs have always followed a traditional style and feel this has enhanced my work and ability to create a bespoke and unique gift or keepsake.
